Another pastiche to Bouguereau. Xie belongs to me. Done in openCanvas over a crappy pencil sketch (which is no longer visible). Took about 7-8 hours.
If Xie were to actually stand in the sun as long as it took me to paint this image, his skin would be roasted crimson. DAMN YOU WHY ARE YOU PRETTY? Anyway, *retrieves her eyes back*. That's the last of 'em for now, folks! I'm tired. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. The ear and his lower left arm look a tad weird (the arm almost looks like the bone's not solid). Other than that, though, I think it's absolutely perfect.♥
I wish I could draw toes like that, dang. xD

The toes were VERY TIME CONSUMING. And the trick to focus is to contrast the color saturation and light balance. If the focus is bright, then tone down the backdrop, or if the subject is grey, cheer up the surroundings.
